Questions
- How to set host serial response timeout?
- Where is the host serial response timeout configuration barcode?
- How to adjust the host serial response timeout parameter?
Resolution / Answer
This setting is used to configure the communication method or communication parameters between the device and the host. Usually when connecting to a computer, serial device, RS485/Modbus network or access control Wiegand system, you need to ensure that the parameters at both ends are consistent.
This parameter specifies how long the scan engine waits before resending an ACK or NAK. Additionally, if the scan engine wants to send, and the host has permission to send, the scan engine waits for the specified timeout before declaring an error.
Default: 2000ms, unit: 100ms, range: 100-9900ms
Such as:
Set the stable sensing time to 3000ms. Scan the host serial response timeout configuration barcode first, and then scan the numeric configuration barcodes 0 and 3. Set the stable sensing time to 9900ms. Scan the host serial response timeout configuration barcode first, and then scan the numeric configuration barcodes 9 and 9.
Host serial response timeout (default: 2 seconds)
Scan the following barcode. The host serial response times out (default: 2 seconds).
