This setting is used to control the reading, verification, length or output rules of the specified barcode type. It is usually used when certain types of barcodes cannot be scanned, the misreading rate is high, or when it is necessary to limit the reading of barcodes in specific formats.
Preamble characters (? codes and system characters) may be transmitted as part of the UPC-E symbology. Select one of the following options to set and transmit the UPC-E preamble to the host: transmit system characters only, transmit system characters and country code ("0" for United States), or send no preamble.
