Resolution / Answer
This article introduces the use and configuration method of "Photo Mode". Usually refer to this article when you need to change the default behavior of the device, adapt to the business system, or find the corresponding configuration barcode.
Use photo mode to capture high-quality images and transfer them to the host computer. To temporarily enter this mode, scan the "Photo Mode" barcode. In this mode, the decoder flashes the green LED at 1 second intervals to indicate that it is not in standard operating (decoding) mode.
In camera mode, the decoder turns on the imaging engine's aiming pattern to highlight the image area to be captured. The next trigger event instructs the decoder to capture a high-quality image and transmit it to the host. There is a brief period (less than 2 seconds) between trigger activation and image acquisition during which the decoder adjusts to the lighting conditions. Please keep the decoder stable until a beep sounds, indicating that image acquisition is complete.
If no trigger event occurs during the "Photo Mode Timeout" period, the decoder returns to decoding mode. To adjust this timeout, use "Photo Mode Timeout" on page 7-15. The default timeout is 30 seconds.
To disable the aiming pattern in photo mode, see "Photo Aiming Pattern" on page 7-15.
To enable "Viewfinder Mode", use "Video Viewfinder" on page 7-27. In this mode, the decoder acts as a video camera before trigger activation and takes pictures as described above after trigger activation.
