Resolution / Answer
This article introduces the use and configuration method of "Fixed Gain". Usually refer to this article when you need to change the default behavior of the device, adapt to the business system, or find the corresponding configuration barcode.
This parameter only takes effect when decoding or image acquisition auto-exposure is disabled. Gain is the amplification of raw image data before converting it to 8-bit grayscale values. Increasing fixed gain improves brightness and contrast, but it also increases noise (unwanted electrical fluctuations in the image), which can cause the image to degrade or be harder to decode.
To set the fixed gain, scan the barcode below, then scan the 3-digit numeric barcode corresponding to the numerical value (1-100) from Appendix D "Numeric Barcodes". Default value is 50.
Fixed gain
Scan the following barcode to fix the gain.
