Resolution / Answer
This setting is used to configure the communication method or communication parameters between the device and the host. Usually when connecting to a computer, serial device, RS485/Modbus network or access control Wiegand system, you need to ensure that the parameters at both ends are consistent.
The parity bit is the highest bit of each ASCII-encoded character. Select the verification type according to the host device requirements:
- **Odd parity**: The parity bit is 0 or 1, so that the number of "1"s in the encoded characters is an odd number.
- **Even parity**: The check bit is 0 or 1, so that the number of "1"s in the encoded characters is an even number.
- **No Check**: Select this when parity check is not required.

Even parity
