Resolution / Answer
This setting is used to intercept, hide, insert, replace or format the scanned code data content. It is usually used when only part of the barcode content needs to be uploaded, useless characters need to be removed, or the business system requires a fixed data format.
When "Transmission Code ID Character" on page 6-28 is set to "AIM Code ID Character", select the output format when reporting UPC/EAN/JAN with additional codes:
- **Separate**: Use respective AIM IDs but transmit them once, that is: `]E<0 or 4><data>]E<1 or 2>[additional data]`
- **Combined**: Use one AIM ID for one-time transmission, that is: `]E3<data+additional data>`
- **Separate Transmissions**: Use respective AIM IDs and transmit separately, that is:
`]E<0 or 4><data>` `]E<1 or 2>[Additional data]`
Separate (00h)
Scan the following barcode, separated (00h).
* Merge (01h)
Scan the following barcode, * Merge (01h).
Separate transmission (02h)
Scan the following barcode to transmit separately (02h).
