This article introduces the setting method of "MSI length", which is suitable for finding the corresponding configuration barcode and completing parameter adjustment.
Applicable to:
CS9501, E950, RS-9000BT, RS-9000PT, RF5520, RF5520U

- How to adjust the MSI length parameter?
Resolution / Answer
This setting is used to control the reading, verification, length or output rules of the specified barcode type. It is usually used when certain types of barcodes cannot be scanned, the misreading rate is high, or when it is necessary to limit the reading of barcodes in specific formats.
The MSI length can be set to any length, one or two discrete lengths, or a length within a specified range.
- **Single discrete length**, **Two discrete lengths**, **Length within range**, **Any length** - the meaning is the same as Code 39 above.
Note: Due to the structural characteristics of the MSI symbology, when the scan line only covers a part of the code, it may still be transmitted as a complete scan, resulting in the transmitted data being less than the data encoded by the barcode. To prevent this, the application should select "Single Discrete Length" or "Two Discrete Lengths".
MSI - Single Discrete Length
Scan the following barcode, MSI - Single Discrete Length.
MSI - two discrete lengths
Scan the following barcode, MSI - two discrete lengths.
* MSI - length within range
Scan the following barcode, *MSI - Length in Range.
MSI - any length
Scan the following barcode, MSI - any length.
