Resolution / Answer
This setting is used to control the reading, verification, length or output rules of the specified barcode type. It is usually used when certain types of barcodes cannot be scanned, the misreading rate is high, or when it is necessary to limit the reading of barcodes in specific formats.
If Composite CC-A/B (page 11-74) is enabled, you can select how UPC symbols are joined to 2D symbols during transmission:
- **UPC NEVER CONNECT**: Transmit UPC barcodes regardless of whether a 2D symbol is detected.
- **UPC Always Concatenated**: Transmits UPC barcode and 2D part; if 2D is not detected, UPC barcode is not transmitted.
- **Automatic detection of UPC composite**: The decoder determines whether a 2D part is present and then transmits the UPC and, if present, the 2D part.
