Resolution / Answer
This article introduces the purpose and configuration method of "Security Level". Usually refer to this article when you need to change the default behavior of the device, adapt to the business system, or find the corresponding configuration barcode.
For delta type barcodes (including UPC/EAN and Code 93), the decoder provides four levels of decoding security. The worse the barcode quality, the higher the security level should be selected. Security is inversely proportional to decoding aggressiveness, select only the security level required by your application.
- **Security Level 0**: The decoder works in the most aggressive manner, providing adequate security for most compliant barcodes.
- **Security Level 1 (Default)**: Eliminates most misreadings.
- **Security Level 2**: Used when misreading still occurs at level 1.
- **Security Level 3**: Used when misreading still occurs at level 2. This is an extreme measure for severely non-compliant barcodes and will significantly reduce decoding capabilities. If this level of security is required, priority should be given to attempts to improve barcode quality.
